My long journey of hoping and wishing for an organic clean makeup is finally over!
It only took 15 years to find something.
If you have given up in your search, you need to look again! Over the years, organic clean makeup has progressed SO MUCH!
Historically, organic clean makeup consisted of solely powder formulations and DIYs you had to blend up at home. This often made wearing organic clean makeup NOT. WORTH. IT. Makeup should be something pampering that we can enjoy applying. Wearing organic clean makeup meant having to make it yourself and clean up a mess from making it yourself, never mind making another mess while you’re applying the dusty powders. Honestly, this took a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. In addition, the results were always FAR LESS than professional. This often leads to not wearing makeup at all, especially when your conscious (or allergies) won’t allow it.
To say it was a relief to find Toups and Co organic clean makeup is an UNDERSTATEMENT.
Not only are their formulations completely natural with ingredients you can understand but they ACTUALLY work and apply like “real” store bought makeups. Gone are the days where I was spilling homemade eyebrow powders all over the counter (and my face!) while applying. Now I can ENJOY applying makeup to freshen up my look! And the fact I can now do it with a clean conscious and without itchiness or reactions is LIFE CHANGING!

For a minimalist look, I only apply 3 things daily. They are:
Vanilla and Almond Tallow Balm The Cream of the Crop! This cream feels so good going on, moisturizes the skin SO well and literally smells like frosting. For someone who doesn’t like the slimy or sticky feel of lotions or creams, this tallow has the right absorbency and texture to satisfy my picky tastes! Since it comes from animal sources (and we are animals!) tallow is a highly sought after nutrient dense, completely natural, and logical solution to dry skin. I even put it on my daughters face when she gets out of the shower and she smells like a little cupcake when we’re getting ready for bed. No need to have separate lotions for her and myself.
Cream Cheek Tint in Blush This product applies beautifully and is the perfect shade of pink on my skin. The convenience of the stick applicator is awesome. I rub it directly onto my face then blend in with my fingers. Done! A perfect pick-me-up and a little color to your face especially in the winter, but I use it daily year-round.
Brow pencil in Deep Taupe Who knew that pencilling in those sparce brows that are still lagging behind from the days of over plucking would make SUCH a difference! The built in brush on the other end helps to blend and shape your brows. This product is literally a game changer for your look – and can help you look years younger by framing your eyes in a defined fashion.

Skincare
Body Oil I LOVE a good body oil. It is nearly impossible to find one with pure ingredients! The scents for these oils are completely clean and the combination of oils high quality. This product is you’ll want to try. Apply right after the shower on damp skin then pat dry with your towel for happy skin!
Makeup
Natural Eye Makeup Palette in Date Night Whether you wear a full face of makeup to work on the week days, at church on Sunday, or when you have a wedding or event to attend, this should be on your list! Even for occasional use, cheaper eye makeup and foundation products can definitely cause some discomfort and itchiness especially around your eyes, making them pretty unbearable to wear. Why be miserable at that occasion? This color palette is universally flattering.
Natural Eyeliner You definitely need a little eyeliner for a polished “done up” look. Go with the brown if you have lighter skin or hair or want a more natural look but still with plenty of drama. I LOVE the fact that this is a gel eyeliner too. Definitely not something available ESPECIALLY as a natural makeup.
Liquid Foundation Liquid foundation that is natural? I can’t even believe this exists! Natural foundations have been restricted to powders for years but they don’t look great on aging skin. This product has plenty of satisfied reviews!
Cream Luminizer Pot Luminizers are a great way to add a little touch of brightness even with a minimalist every day look! The best spots to apply are right on the brow line (under your nicely penciled brows), at the inner corner of your eyes, highest point of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, and on the rim of the cupid’s bow.

A search for dupes won’t get you too far at this point. I’ve personally tried other tallow balms and so far have been disappointed, so it will be awhile before I try one again. True makeup product alternatives are currently non existent. With daily wear, I’m getting more than 6 months of use out of these products, the price is worth it to me.
Skincare
For body oil, Badger Baby Oil has similar ingredients to Toups and Co. at a fraction of the price. The scents of the Toups and Co. body oil are really appealing so you would definitely want to try them on a splurge or as a gift!
For facial serum, Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum is a powerhouse at its price point. It also contains hyaluronic and ferulic acid which I haven’t found a serum that contains all 3 at this price point. It is absolutely SHOCKING how expensive some serums can be! If you only apply serum once a day and have a minimalist skincare routine, this multitasker will work wonders for you. It is also pregnancy and breastfeeding safe as it doesn’t contain retinol or any of its derivatives (which haven’t been studied yet for safety despite the fact they are “natural”.)
Makeup
I also use mascara daily and am real fond of Tarte Tartlette XL Tubing Mascara. The Tarte Tartlette Tubing Mascara also gives an excellent look, but the downside is that it is harder to remove using just water. The Tartlette XL comes off easily with just water. Put a warm cloth on your eyelashes for a bit and then “slide” the tubes off with your fingers. Then finish cleansing the area with the warm cloth and JUST WATER! For a regular mascara wearer, removal with water is priceless and so easy! No more worries of forgetting makeup remover when traveling and then dealing with the nightmare of removal and dark raccoon circles.
